International Student Welcome Program – ALLÔ!

Together During The Holidays

For over fifteen years, Student Life Services and the UQAM Alumni Office have collaborated to allow international students to spend the holiday season in the company of members of the university community, including alumni.

As the University takes a break during the holiday season, the campus is very quiet during this time. International students who are not returning to their home countries may find this period challenging and feel isolated. However, it’s a great opportunity for them to discover and experience Quebec’s holiday traditions.

Together During The Holidays annually calls on the generosity of the UQAM community to support international students during this season of sharing and celebration.

Examples of Activities

Holiday gatherings (Christmas, New Year’s, etc.)
Winter activities (skating, skiing, snowshoeing, etc.)
Cultural activities (movies, theater, museums, etc.)
Other activities based on participants’ suggestions

How to Participate

It’s simple!

Step 1: Register for the program by December 5 (5 p.m.).

Step 2: From December 9 to 13, access and sign up for activities offered by members of the university community.

University Community Members (Employees, students, alumni, retirees, or faculty)

Register for the program by December 5 (5 p.m.) with a detailed activity proposal (description, date, time). International students will then be invited to choose the activity that interests them until December 13.

Your activity should be described in as much detail as possible.

Please attach a photo illustrating the activity when submitting the form. This could be, for example, a photo with your family members or of the activity itself (such as skating or a shared meal around a table).
