International students
International Student Welcome Program – ALLÔ!
Managed by UQAM’s Student Life Services, the International Student Welcome Program – Allô! facilitates the arrival and integration of international students into their new academic environment and host city.
French isn’t your first language and you’d like to be able to cope better in your French-speaking environment? Allô is here to support you with activities and workshops to help you adapt to UQAM and Quebec culture.
Personalized accompaniment
You’ve made an appointment with a UQAM department and want to make sure you understand everything that’s going to be discussed? Allô offers you personalized support tailored to your needs, with a multilingual student.
Here are some examples of services where the student guide can accompany you:
- Registrar
- Library (navigating the lending platform, meeting a librarian, printing, etc.)
- Sports center
- Scholarship team
- BIRÉ (learning support, exams with accommodations, Niska, etc.)
- And much more!
Psst! You can even make an appointment for a campus tour, based on your interests.
Welcome Days for the Allô Program!
From August 26 to September 6, a great program of activities, workshops and neighborhood tours will also be on offer: Welcome Days Schedule for Non-French Speaking Students
